From the 215/91: Take the 215 to the 10
East. Take the 30 (toward Big Bear Lake) to the 330 (toward "Mountain
Resorts"). Stay on the 330 to highway 18. Do not turn toward
Arrowhead. Do not turn into Running Springs. Keep going on the
18 until you get to "The Dam" in Big Bear and turn RIGHT. Stay on the
highway, it will turn into Big Bear Blvd. Stay on Big Bear Blvd.
Turn right on Thrush (Carl's Jr. is on the corner). Turn right on
Brownie Lane. All J Products is about 1/2 way up Brownie Lane.
From the 10 to hwy 38: Take the 10 freeway
East to the University Road exit. Turn left and go under the freeway
overpass. Continue down University Road past The University of
Redlands. When you come to Lugonia, turn RIGHT. Stay on Lugonia
it will turn into highway 38. Pass through the town of Mentone, pass
the tiny community of Mountain Home Village, pass the turnoff for Forest
Falls. Keep on going up the mountain and pass through the small
community of Angles Oaks. (Drive carefully here; there are a lot of
"S" curves and many accidents happen here especially during the Winter
months.) Pass Seven Oaks, keep on going up highway 38. When you
get to Onyx Summit you are almost to Big Bear City. Pass over Onyx
Summit and come back down into Big Bear. You will pass the small
communities of Lake Williams, Lake Erwin, and Sugarloaf and then come to Big
Bear City shortly after you see "Mitchell" road. Congratulations you
are now in Big Bear City! In this area Highway 38 is also known as "Greenspot
Blvd." When you come to the 4-way stop sign, turn
left. You are now on Big Bear Blvd. Stay on Big Bear Blvd for
about 7 miles. You will pass Stanfield Cutoff, you will pass the VONs
and K-Mart. When you see CARL'S JR. get ready to make a left turn.
Turn left at the Carl's Jr. corner (this is Thrush drive). Then turn
right onto Brownie Lane. All J Products is about 1/2 way up Brownie
Lane.
From the high desert areas (Lucerne Valley,
Victorville, Apple Valley, etc.) using highway 18. Take highway 18 up
to Big Bear (highway 18 driving time is approx. 20 minutes). When you
get to Baldwin Lake, stay on highway 18, do not turn onto Baldwin Lake Road.
Highway 18 turns into Northshore Drive. Stay on Northshore drive until
you see Stanfield Cutoff (by Lakeside Veterinary Hospital). Turn left
onto Stanfield Cutoff. You will drive between Baker Pond and Big Bear
Lake on a land bridge. Turn RIGHT onto Big Bear Blvd. Stay on
Big Bear Blvd for about 7 miles. You will pass Stanfield Cutoff, you
will pass the VONs and K-Mart. When you see CARL'S JR. get ready to
make a left turn. Turn left at the Carl's Jr. corner (this is Thrush
drive). Then turn right onto Brownie Lane. All J Products is
about 1/2 way up Brownie Lane.
Remember Mountain Road etiquette: When driving up
the highways, if you see cars lined up behind you, save lives and let them
pass you -- USE THE TURNOUTS.
