When only the best skid will do, these are the best going. 3/16" thick, sides and bottom. These are the skids that we run on our own Jeeps! 

The Kilby Gas Tank Skid Plates offers excellent protection for the Jeep. Skids are built from 3/16" steel plate in 3 pieces that were laser cut, formed and welded together.  It utilizes the stock mounting locations to keep the installation time to a minimum. You will not re-use the stock tin shield as part of this skid. TJ tank skids have an extra 1" clearance over stock setups and even more vs. other skids that go over the stock shield.  The front and rear of the skid has departure angles built in to aid in sliding over obstacles.  Four drain holes are incorporated into the design and the factory straps are used to secure the tank to the skid.  On the TJ material has been removed from the front of the skid to give the track bar more room to cycle.  At 60 lbs each, this skid is no lightweight!
