To Current Wrangler TJ & Rubicon Boulder Bars Our Boulder Bars are the strongest and most stylish available. They are built from 2" x 2" box tubing, and use custom tapered support channels. They fit all TJ models. (Removal of the factory step is required, if equipped) The Boulder Bars for a 1997-2000 utilize the 4 center factory step mounting holes to simplify installation. There are three frame mounted support channels with 11 fasteners per side. Each set includes inserts and insert tool, if required. Drilling is required. On 2001 and newer TJs and Rubicons, the center step holes are different than earlier TJs, the Boulder Bars will use 2 existing holes, and require two new drilled holes. This change brings the total holes drilled to 9 per side. Please note when ordering, the year and step configuration. Note: an "F" ( .257) drill bit is required for install. We have these available if you can't find one locally. However, they are available at most good hardware stores. |
